At the final hearing on July 15, the 21st Civil Division of the Western District Court (Presiding Judge Hwang Yoon-gu) stated, “Rather than deciding immediately on whether to grant the injunction, it is deemed necessary for both parties to take a cooling-off period,” and recommended a settlement, saying, “The respondents should allow the Korea Racing Authority to conduct a trial operation of the racetrack by the end of October and discuss the matter again afterward.”A settlement recommendation is a procedure in which the court, when the parties to a dispute cannot reach an agreement, proactively urges both sides to come to a settlement before making a judgment. The parties may file an objection with the court within two weeks of receiving the decision. If either party files an objection, the court will decide whether to grant the provisional injunction.

Students from Seongsim Girls' Middle and High School also participated in the press conference and presented an appeal. In their appeal, the student council of Seongsim Girls' Middle School expressed concern, saying, "Looking out the classroom window, one can see the massive building of a gambling den," and warned that "horse racers from across the country will flock here, forced to learn a get-rich-quick mentality and materialism that destroys their lives." They also appealed to President Park Geun Hye, a graduate of Seongsim Girls' Middle and High School, saying, "Your help is desperately needed," and requested, "Please assist in repurposing this building into a library and cultural center for the youth who will carry the future."

The Korea Racing Authority stated that while accepting the court's decision, it will make additional efforts to address concerns raised by the opposition committee regarding infringement on the right to learn by operating only during the school vacation period on Friday and actively participating in mediation through the Korea Conflict Resolution Center. However, the opposition committee maintains that it cannot accept the court's decision. In an email sent to reporters on the evening of the 15th, the opposition committee stated, "We will not accept any recommendation that includes recognition of the Korea Racing Authority's pilot opening, regardless of its content."

Most people think of horse racing as gambling. However, quite a large number of people actually enjoy horse racing as a leisure activity in their daily lives. If the environment and culture of horse racing are improved so that it can be enjoyed as a leisure activity and the horse racing industry is revitalized, the equine industry will also thrive. I believe that revitalizing the horse industry can also provide great benefits to our society.First of all, I think it would be wonderful if the next government listens to the demands of horse racing fans and reflects them in legislation.

Graduates who have learned those processes and manuals at school carry out those processes professionally. For example, after graduating, trained students sign contracts with 15 farms and visit them regularly to train the horses according to their needs and the training process. The plan is for them to receive training expenses instead of being unable to join the racetrack or having to stay there long-term and pay management fees, so that the horses can be put to use. We are working closely with the school to carry it out.

Because they enter without proper training, their expertise is lacking, and many accidents occur. The horses are also running worse. His abilities are good, but there are also significant disparities. Overall, the quality of the race is lacking. Jeju horse racing is broadcast in Seoul and Busan, but there were complaints from customers saying, "I can't watch it," and "What kind of horse racing is this?"Employees working at LetsRun Park Jeju had also been considering this issue, but there were limitations due to internal circumstances.

Since 2014, Deputy Director Kim Jin-gap has been in charge of managing Jeju’s racing resources at LetsRun Park Jeju, and over the course of that long period, he has continued tireless efforts as a dedicated practitioner, developing relevant policies and manuals, persuading farms, and leading training. On May 7, we met with Kim Jin-gap, head of race resource management at LetsRun Park Jeju, on site to hear about the progress, including the systematic breeding process of race Jeju horses. Jeon Seong-won, current Head of the Win-Win Marketing Division and former Head of the Jeju Regional Headquarters at the time the agreement for the mutual development of the horse industry was passed, and Kim Jin-gap, Head of Jeju’s Racing Resources Management Division, have continued to engage with farmers with a sense of responsibility on this important issue, tirelessly developing and implementing related policies in the field. At a special zone meeting held in Jeju last June,

We are starting production of Thorough Browns. Three high-bred sire dams are scheduled to be imported for the U.S. auction this November. The goal is to breed racehorses in-house and enter them directly into races so that they achieve good results. The other is to create a ranch, like Japan’s Northern Horse Park, as a famous tourist attraction. We want visitors to be able to go on outdoor rides and use various hands-on programs featuring miniature horses to experience the ranch. I want to share the charm of horses with many people not just by observing them from a distance,

Completing the 'University Student Horse Industry Technical Training Program' and the 'Ranch Manager Program' conducted by the Korea Racing Authority. Before I became interested in horses, I was just an ordinary student. Influenced by my father, who was in the pig farming industry, I enrolled in the Department of Livestock Management and Distribution Economics. At that time, I vaguely thought I should help my father. Since I was young, I had seen and heard about pig farming and often encountered it,

From my junior year of college until graduation, I took equestrian lessons conducted by the Korea Racing Authority. I completed the 'University Student Horse Industry Technical Training Program' and the 'Ranch Manager Program' at the Korea Racing Authority’s Training and Development Academy. During the vacation, I helped out at a riding club in Jeju for a short time and also learned how to ride. At the Jeju racehorse breeding farm, I learned a great deal about racehorses, including their lineage and training process.I mainly studied through the internet.

Distribution Economics at Konkuk University, and I thought that to study horses, I should go horseback riding. While horseback riding, I began to connect directly with horses. As I touched and rode the horses, I found myself unexpectedly captivated by their charm. I have always read books and watched videos about horses, and I dreamed of raising one while exploring various educational programs. After graduating from university, I happened to get a contract position at Jeju Breeding Farm.

They lack the knowledge and experience in personnel management and government policies necessary to run a ranch. I thought I knew a lot of words and had studied them well, but once I actually practiced speaking, it turned out to be different. I had dreamed of a life of running and playing with horses, living at ease. However, the reality is that there is much to do beyond horse management, including pasture and facility maintenance and government support, which makes it challenging. At present, I am receiving help from my father and others with extensive experience in the field of horses.

Horseback riding is now politicized because of a series of events. In a way, the equestrians who have worked quietly until now may be victims of the Choi Soon-sil scandal. I hope Daemyung Group's 'Mayon Eohos' will be a competition that all equestrians and the public can participate in and enjoy. I also ask for your support and encouragement regarding these matters, whether from the government or the sports council.Daimyeong Group, which spares no investment in equestrian sports, is undeniably playing a leading role in the development of equestrianism in Korea.

test008

It is unfortunate that horseback riding is viewed negatively because of that.Mayon Eohos is continuously evolving, and its future will also play a role in popularizing horseback riding. I am confident about that as well. However, I don't know how long it will take. The 'Mayon Eohos' initiative that the Daemyung Group hopes to achieve is to advance to CSI5, creating an environment where foreign athletes can bring their horses directly to Korea and compete in official equestrian competitions alongside existing horses. Furthermore, as a member of the equestrian community,

Over the past five years, we have launched a horse industry project as a government initiative. As far as I know, it all began between 2011 and 2012; while the first five years were focused on building 500 equestrian venues and training specialized personnel as part of the initial project, the five-year plan for the future development of equestrianism seems to be currently stalled. Therefore, I believe we need to transform the current stranded projects into a virtuous cycle that encompasses the entire market, including the sales market.

Last year, it was held on the turf track, and this year it took place at the Sonofelice Equestrian Club. It was partly because I wanted to introduce and showcase Sonopellice Equestrian Club to the public, and also because, last year, the practice grounds and other facilities were inadequate, preventing us from providing the horses with the best possible environment. This year, we played in a dedicated arena so the horses could compete in their best condition. Although it lacked the beauty and style of a grass field, playing in a dedicated venue allowed for focused

However, Daemyung is striving not only to broaden the base of equestrianism but also to stay true to the original spirit of 'Mayon Eohos.' We plan to continue advancing the fusion of sports and culture, unshaken by any external pressures.Kim Hong-chul, former head coach of the national equestrian team, was seen not leaving the venue for the entire three days of the Mayon Eohos/2017 Daemyung Cup CSI3*. Before the obstacle race, he showed his passionate dedication to equestrianism by personally explaining the course to the audience.

Mayon Eohos started with the aim of increasing public interest in equestrianism, a healing sport. In particular, Mayon Eohos has strived to learn from the leading European trends in equestrianism and create a competition that stands shoulder to shoulder with them, which has led to its establishment as the Mayon Eohos we know today. A special venue was set up on natural grass, incorporating cultural content that has captured the public’s interest.Compared to baseball, which has risen to become a leading sport in Korea, the popularization of equestrianism may seem a bit further down the line.

Currently, the payout rate for horse racing in our country is 73%, which is too low compared to the OECD average. In Japan, it would be 75.1%, and in Hong Kong, 78.1%. In countries like the United Kingdom and Australia, the figure is as high as 89%. Our country deducts too many taxes. On top of that, there are many horse racing taxes, including a 100% increase in entrance fees, more than 100 times double taxation, and refunds exceeding 2 million won. Therefore, the content is that horse racing taxes should be reduced.

Just because they are called riding horses doesn't mean they are at the level of professional riders; they are designed for comfort. Six months is enough. Six months could be long. I believe it could be done in three to four months if you focus on the process. In Halla's case, it is currently 4 to 5 million won per unit. After 3 to 4 months of training, the price can rise to 8 to 9 million won. It is the value of a trained horse. As long as the training system works properly, there will be no loss. We had established policies to preserve losses from the national budget,

test008

What is regrettable is that, despite reaching an agreement, having policies prepared, and the association being properly managed, we simply wasted two years due to internal conflict instead of receiving policy funding. They failed to secure even a national project. As a result, converting Hallama into a riding horse has become a burden. But I will keep helping along the way. In Jeju, a riding horse breeding and training center will soon be established on the Korea Racing Authority’s site and in Seogwipo. If these facilities are used well,

test008

Build a portion of it there so that Jeju horses can join, be trained, and complete their training on the main course before coming. To support farms with inadequate facilities, the Jeju Horse Producers Association has secured a certain amount of provincial funding to operate the Seongeup Livestock Center. We are renovating the facilities. Although a mid- to long-term roadmap has been established, infrastructure is necessary for the implementation of entry-level criteria based on the process.Of course, it is not enough to just build the infrastructure and have a plan in place.

However, since both Gyeongbuk and Gyeonggi, which applied for additional special zone designation, were designated as horse industry special zones, some analysts suggest that the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs may have lowered its standards, which had previously required a certain level of achievement. These horses were purchased by the father during the U.S. auction, then registered and cared for by the mother. Although I haven’t followed Gyeongju consistently, I decided to enter this race because I believe the horse suits Korean racing. I always support you, so I’m very happy that you put on such a great race.
