The rise of the travel and tourism industries and the various sports attract attention reflect this. With this trend, Gyeonggi-do Province has been supporting horseback riding to be reborn as a "healing leisure sport." Until now, Gyeonggi-do Province has designated Yongin, Hwaseong, and Icheon as special zones for horse industry and has been building infrastructure for the horse industry by supporting horse riding facilities. Last year, the "Youth Equestrian Festival with Family," a festival of horseback riders, was held at the site of the new Gyeonggi-do Office in Gwanggyo, Suwon, which received great response.
