Rather than leading with leadership, my goal is to find the glue that brings the whole together and connect it well for the sake of integration. I think that glue is horse racing. No matter how old a friend is, if there is no shared interest, it will quickly become awkward and distant. But if there is a common denominator, even someone you just met will soon open your heart and hold your hand. We share a common interest in horse racing. If we can simply discover the fun of horse racing, even if it doesn’t lead us to golf or other outward pursuits, I believe we can still connect deeply.

As one of the key figures in the horse racing community, I believe the position where our Majoo stands is extremely important. However, having been involved and observed for more than 20 years, the fact is that we, given its importance, have not been able to speak with one voice together with a sense of community. The divisions that emerged within the Korea Racing Authority Association in response to the forced implementation of this innovation plan can be seen as the problems that had been within us erupting outward. Under the current circumstances, the Korea Racing Authority cannot exert any force. I always thought that I wanted to create a space for face-to-face dialogue, build consensus, and come to an agreement on the problems. I have boldly expressed my intention to run, hoping to turn this crisis into an opportunity for a turnaround.
