Domestic horses, including 'Triple Nine,' usually raced in Korea at intervals of five to six weeks. But in Dubai, he played every 20 days on average, a shorter interval. I raced four times over three months: January 19, February 9, March 5, and March 25. Because it was such a nice-sounding phrase, it didn't show on the surface, but I couldn't help thinking that I might have been drained of energy. Looking back, I can’t shake the thought that if they hadn’t played twice in the Dubai World Cup Carnival,

Whenever my horse runs in a regular race, I drop everything and head to the racetrack. In fact, doing a 9 to 10-hour long flight at a relatively young age is no easy task. However, I think it is the owner's duty to be there when their horse is galloping. And there are also things I must see. I'm not exactly free, but I think it ultimately depends on one's determination.Looking back now, I can’t help but feel regret that I only got to play one match at the Dubai World Cup Carnival.

It is expected to contribute to enhancing the image of horse racing by drawing national interest and support through a Korea-Japan race, much like the Korea-Japan soccer match. The prize money is 250 million won, and the hosting racecourse will cover all related expenses, including transportation fees for invited racehorses and airfare for racehorse officials.Using the 2013 Korea-Japan Equestrian Festival as a foothold, the Korea Racing Authority plans to promote international invitation races starting in 2014 by inviting racehorses from countries including Japan, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, and Malaysia. Furthermore, in 2022, the plan is to expand international racehorse exchange racing both in scale and quality to host world-class horse racing events comparable to the Kentucky Derby in the United States, the Epsom Derby in the United Kingdom, the Melbourne Cup in Australia, and the Japan Cup in Japan.

Following a poor performance in October, his results in November were also disappointing, so he spent two months resting. Perhaps because of that experience, participating in an international competition was not entirely welcome, and I felt a sudden reluctance to take part. So I asked which horses would be competing in Korea, and they said 'Power Blade,' 'Mainstay,Different Dimension, and 'Seoul Bullet' would be participating.Since 'Triple Nine' was selected as the national representative horse for two consecutive years,

Therefore, before completely abolishing the current mountain-area separation system in 2014, some of its provisions were amended and implemented this year.Although Seoul Race Park and Pukyong Race Park have operated different race scheduling systems while running the same Seorabbit horse racing, they will be unified starting this year. The unification of the race scheduling system, including restrictions on entry applications and priority order, was necessary because the number of cases where Seoul and Pukyong participated in the same race as open competitions was increasing, causing frequent issues during the entry voting process due to differing scheduling systems.Other newly changed systems in 2013 include an increase in the number of participants, adjustments to the prize money ranking ratio, and an expansion of open races.

Meanwhile, the relocation candidates who actually live within the racecourse park project site demanded that Yeongcheon City take the lead in providing appropriate compensation and establishing a relocation complex close to the current village so that residents can settle, while some residents of Daepyeong-ri, whose homes are included in the main access road, called for the establishment of measures to allow them to relocate to the racecourse park relocation complex.Hwang Seok-gon, head of the Yeongcheon City Horse Racing Park Promotion Team, said, "We are striving to develop Yeongcheon Race Park not just as a horse racing venue, but as a beautiful, world-class park that everyone will want to revisit and that could stand proudly anywhere in the world."

Looking at examples abroad, older people also enjoy horseback riding. In South Korea, older people may not be able to hike due to leg pain, but if they know how to ride a horse a little, they can definitely go on an outing. Many local governments are creating cross-country cycling routes, and since these trails are not strictly for running, I think they will establish themselves as a suitable leisure activity even for older people. An MOU has already been signed with Jeju National University,

However, the Jangjesa Association within the Korea Racing Authority proposed that our association purchase a booth at KINTEX and operate it together with the association. I thought it was a good idea and was going to do so, but the organizers said that gas cylinders or stovetops for burning cannot be used indoors. At that moment, they received a request to set up a jangje booth next to the venue of a horseback riding competition in Gyeonggi Province to help boost the event’s atmosphere.Since I couldn't conduct the funeral indoors,

Until last year, we did not request support from the association, but this year we requested support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for the first time. When I submitted plans for crop system education, competitions, and training to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, I was told that since the ministry oversees more than one association, it could not provide support for the requests of any association. That's a given and a valid point. When I asked if there was any way to provide at least partial support,

Up to last year, a total of eight races were held as international exchange races (5 in Seoul, 3 in Busan-Gyeongnam), while this year there are 6 in Seoul (JRA Trophy, HRI Trophy, SLTC Trophy, SNTC Trophy, TJK Trophy, MJC Trophy) and 2 in Busan-Gyeongnam (GCTC Trophy, GC Trophy). Among these, at Seoul Race Park, the JRA Trophy will be held the day before the Derby as it was last year, while the other five exchange races will be held together with the YTN Cup International Jockey Invitational on August 10–11.First, on September 1 of this year, three Japanese racehorses will compete against 11 of Korea’s strongest racehorses at Seoul Race Park, and in November, three Korean racehorses will travel to Japan to race against Japanese horses.

At the time, I was puzzled because I didn't understand what they were saying, but later I realized it was incredibly embarrassing. After returning to Korea, the Korean funeral directors who had gone to Japan for training did not pass on the skills and information they had learned from their juniors, instead carrying those skills onto their own shoulders. After learning the reason, I thought that if things continued like this, it would be difficult for our textile technology to progress.

You have to give the horse attention and love. Actually, it's more fun to raise them than to ride horses. If you give love, they become closer than a friend. In words, they are pets and companion animals closest to people. There was a time when I used to play music every morning to wake the horses up. A true horseman should know that, instead of overworking his horse to death, it is important to ride by observing the horse’s breathing and then his own.

This year, horse racing will be held for a total of 96 days annually at both Seoul and Pukyong Race Parks, two days longer than last year. The number of races increased by 26 to 1,090 in Seoul and by 18 to 800 in Busan-Gyeongnam compared to the 2012 plan. The number of race days in Jeju remains the same as the previous year at 94, but the number of races has decreased by 4 to 848.Night horse racing will be held for eight days at each race park from July 19 to August 18. Each racecourse will be closed during the year-end and New Year holidays, the peak summer heat period, and the Chuseok and Lunar New Year holidays.
